Linocut-Printmaking Workshop

Hello - 16" Welcome Sign

Class: Thursday September 14th from 6-8pm

Registration ends: September 12th

Join Jantje, owner of I’m An Artist Community Studio, at Spruced Studio as she teaches her skill of linocut printmaking.  Linocut printmaking is a type of reduction art very similar to woodblock carving, where we use specialized sharpened tools to carve designs out of linoleum, apply ink, flip/print, and wha-la! You have your own piece to show off!

This art form has become increasingly popular in recent years and once you know how to do it, you’ll see it everywhere!  Printmaking is relaxing and interesting and so darn cool. We’ll spend time practicing using the tools, and tips on how to ink and print your piece correctly (it’s all about the sound), and by the end, you will have created a couple of your own prints to bring home.

There will be several simple template ideas to get your wheels turning but feel free to bring some ideas along with you as well.

Please be mindful of age and ability as linocut uses sharp tools!  No children will be allowed to attend class without a guardian.

*Due to the use of sharp tools, the online waiver must be signed with your name (putting anything else in the box is not a valid signature!)

Note: If you need to cancel, your registration will be transferred to an upcoming workshop with Jantje.  Please see our cancellation policy for full details.

*No coupons may be used for this class.
