“Peace Rocks” Beginners Acrylic Painting

Hello - 16" Welcome Sign

Saturday August 13th 3-6:30pm

Interested in learning how to paint with acrylics?  Look no further!  Come and enjoy painting while getting in-person instructions with Lea V. Dieleman!

What to expect during this 3 1/2-hour workshop:

A sample of an outline drawing will be provided for you to lay down before painting.  This is a fun, but educational process of starting your masterpiece.   After you are satisfied with the outline you will begin to paint and learn different brushstrokes, layering and some blending techniques. The goal of this class is not only to bring a finished painting home with you but a little knowledge as well!  The canvas size is 11 x 14 so we do have a decent area to cover within a three-hour period. Everyone will be working at their own pace, but to insure no one gets left behind, the instructor will help when you need it.

All supplies that you will need are included (including a variety of paint colors)!

The fine print (I know, I know, but it’s important!):

A little bit about our guest teacher, Lea V. Dieleman:  In a small town of West Michigan, Lea V. Dieleman started her journey as a self-taught artist starting at age ten. Even though she started young, it wasn’t until recently she decided to keep her feet on the art path. She enjoys painting wildlife and landscapes while using acrylics and pastels. She recently started focusing on Michigan landscapes, including one of Pictured Rocks, found in Munising Michigan. Lea has contributed to different competitions as well, including ArtPrize. She taught various art classes at Michaels for two years and is a guest instructor on Mackinaw Island during the summer. She enjoys teaching and showing everyone they can also create a beautiful work of art.
