Kokedama – Moss Ball Workshop

Hello - 16" Welcome Sign

Kokedama – Moss Ball Workshop

Loosely translated, Kokedama means (koke) moss (dama) ball. During this uniquely fun workshop you will definitely get your hands dirty creating this Japanese centuries-old gardening art.

Join Cher from Bitter Bee Designs to learn the art of wrapping plant roots with moss, binding with string to create a living sculpture that can be displayed hanging or on a decorative perch. All the supplies, step-by-step instruction and aftercare tips will be provided to make 3 pot-less plants with the option to make hanging or table-top versions.

This beginner level project is a bit messy. As you build your mossy round friends, you will be working with natural elements such as plants, wet soil, moss, and twine. Aprons will be provided, but come prepared to get your hands dirty!

Note: due the custom nature of this workshop, cancellations need to be made at least 72 hours in advance and your registration will be transferred to an upcoming Kokedama Workshop.

Sign up now! Registration closes 1 week before the start of each workshop.

*Please note that the plants will be similar to those in the photo. There may be slight variations in type size, shape, or color shade.
