Beginner friendly, like paint by number! This class requires you to send us photos BEFORE class! Make sure to read all the requirements at the bottom of page.
Pick a favorite photo of your partner, sit across from them & transform them into a masterpiece! This class is beginner friendly, custom outlines of color regions are traced onto the canvas for you! You are given a custom color card, similar to paint by number. Step by step guidance given: mixing paint/skin tones, painting techniques & more. Your color card has the same guidelines as your canvas/color regions.
Our resident acrylic painting teacher will support you along the way, answer any questions & help with your unique portrait creation! At the end of class there will be a “Reveal your painting to your partner” segment!
12×12 acrylic on canvas painting, wine & beverages provided.
Limited seats available – reserve yours now! This class is designed for couples/pairs of people, each person creates a painting of their partner.
Ages 17+
PORTRAIT PHOTO REQUIREMENTS: High res photo, close up on face, well lit face. Try to include hats, sunglasses, glasses, bold accessories, flowers, full hair. Portrait paintings must be cropped close to the face – if not the color regions are too small/complex to complete the painting in our 2.5 hour class. Poses with hands near the face look great as painted portraits too. (Note- if you’d prefer to use a photo that includes the full body/background/zoomed out, that’s possible. However the face will be too small to be recognizable)
SUBMIT PHOTOS:
Ideally, submit several photos for us to choose from – some photos turn out way better than others when we are converting them into vector art.
